The Fighting Fantasy Classics (on Steam) added the fiftieth fantasy this week: Return to Firetop Mountain. I discuss my playthrough a bit and give a general review. Spoilers will be marked and/or obfuscated.

After some time, a fourth volume of 4+1 delves for Lone Spelunker’s Dungeon Hero has arrived. For today, I will attempt “Invasion of the Corpse Snatchers” with a stealthy scout named Laz Gideon.
Asa Shirecut continues his quest to try and help Oakrun rise to glory. This time its undead mutations and goblins.
The tomb is cursed by something called the Heart of Berekh. Now Tabintha and the others have to figure out how to lift the curse while avoiding getting killed by the phantom form of King/Warlord Otto Axebreaker, whose name is awfully badass.
In order to get into the tunnels to find Stonehaven, the heroes must first find a way to get past an ancient warlord and his many minions. But FIRST, they must figure out how to unlock a danged door.
The team enters into the tomb underneath The Black Lobster. Their first proper quest. Here they will have to face new horrors and learn more about their abilities to survive.

Outside the pyramid, Barston’s companion continue their fight against the strange snake creatures. Inside, Barston confronts a surprising old nemesis.
The group has found the golden pyramid, but three large guardian spirits protect it. Can Barston find the way inside in time?
