The tomb is cursed by something called the Heart of Berekh. Now Tabintha and the others have to figure out how to lift the curse while avoiding getting killed by the phantom form of King/Warlord Otto Axebreaker, whose name is awfully badass.
In order to get into the tunnels to find Stonehaven, the heroes must first find a way to get past an ancient warlord and his many minions. But FIRST, they must figure out how to unlock a danged door.
Some details about why things are happening are explored through three scenes from Maria "Madam Sinister" Salas, whose fate is tied up at the center of this story.

The group has found the golden pyramid, but three large guardian spirits protect it. Can Barston find the way inside in time?
Continuing south, they find a goblin wizard under attack by four ogres.
Continuing south to the Golden Pyramid, the group enter into large mounds of giant termites.
Now up to five members, the team is traveling to the Golden Pyramid to fight the Spider King.
